Deep cherry red. Gloriously scented with savoury dark fruit and a wild garrigue freshness. Tarry too. Super-fine tannins, elegant and with immense length. Very fine indeed.
The Wine Advocate:
The 2016 Pic Saint Loup La Closerie du Pic, a blend of Syrah and Grenache, features striking aromas of crushed stone to go along with the familiar cola and plum notes so typical of this estate's style. It's full-bodied and softly tannic but concentrated, with more freshness, energy and length than the entry-level wines.
